I stayed as many women do. But what I wasn’t 100% knowledgeable about was that I stayed without an whole heart. I didn’t have the typical anger or bitterness towards my husband when a marriage has the usual bumps in the road. But I also didn’t have the entire whole heart of love for my husband either. This did not cause problems in my marriage on a daily basis. I knew I had shut a part of my heart off but I never looked at it as not loving him wholeheartedly but rather making my marriage survive in hopes of it thriving again. This will be a huge oversight on my part. Losing part of myself is not a way to make my marriage thrive.
